The CBU Nursing Society will be holding a food drive to support local food banks on Saturday, October 26, 2024. The event will be held at all Sobeys locations in Industrial Cape Breton as well as Eskasoni and Sydney mines Foodland locations from 8 am until 4 pm.

Once again, the Glace Bay Food Bank is doing their annual milk run. They are seeking donations of canned or powdered milk. It is running until Nov. 9th. Donations can be dropped off at the Miner’s Forum in Glace Bay. Any financial donations can be made directly to the food bank. The Great Pumpkin Trail will take place on Monday, October 28 from 6-8pm. The trail will be lined with carved pumpkins and Halloween scenes created by local families, businesses, organizations and schools. This is a free event; however, we are collecting donations for the local food bank. Enter a carved pumpkin, some pumpkin people or a Halloween display.
