The Cape Breton Dog Agility Club is having a Fall Yard Sale on Saturday, October 5th at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 643 Main Street in Sydney Mines from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be lots of goodies to choose from, so drop by and have a peek and support a wonderful cause. Admission is Free.

Glace Bay Library Wed Oct 9 6pm We welcome local author Chad Norman as he shared from his work Parental Forest.  Here, Chad Norman reaffirms our humanity and vital interconnectedness by immersing himself in the natural world. Norman has the rare ability to write poems that are politically engaging as well as poems that are so delicate that the reader, coming upon them unexpectedly, catches his breath.

Glace Bay Library Thurs Oct 10 4pm We welcome back local author Chad Norman to share from his children’s book B and Boy.  This story is dedicated to the children of Ukraine who have been forced to begin new lives in new countries.  

The Baddeck Community Market is located outdoors at the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site and will be open from 10am-1pm.  Come shop from local producers, food vendors, and artisans.
