Own Your Wellness: Practical Strategies to Manage Stress Thursday, February 9th  7 PM McConnell Library STRESS has become a fact of life.  Signs include, weight gain, fatigue, irritability, but left un-addressed,  early symptoms can develop into more serious physical and mental  health problems. Mothers' Union of St. John the Baptist Anglican Church, 28 King Street, North Sydney will host a Valentine's Roast Beef Dinner. It will take place on Friday, February 10th @ 6:00 pm. There will be door prizes and entertainment. Tickets are $15.00 per person and are available at the Parish Office Monday through Friday from 10:00 am until 12:30 pm, from any member of Mothers Union or by phoning Debbie Moore at 902-544-1018.

Seniors Brunch: Our Valentine’s Day Seniors Brunch will take place on Friday, February 10th at St. Mary’s Hall. Brunch will be served in one sitting at 10:30 a.m. with musical entertainment. There will be a silver coin collection at the door. Seating is limited to 65 people, so please call early to reserve a seat.

There will be a Valentine's Round and Square Dance at the John J. Nugent Firemen's Centre on Saturday February 11, 2017 from 9-1. Tickets are $15/person. Entertainment will be Kyle and Shamus MacNeil, Howie MacDonald, Kimberly Fraser and Aaron C. Lewis. Tickets are available at Reid's Petro Can in Sydney Mines or by calling 902-578-7507.

Ferman Furey Memorial Dart Tournament On Feb 11, 2017 at 1:30 pm the Tower Road Fire Department on Tower Road Glace bay will be holding our annual Ferman Furey Memorial Dart open Dart Tournament $40.00 per team and to register call the fire hall at 902-849-1555. This is an all day event and lots of fun.
