Church of the Good Shepherd, Dominion, NS will hold it's Annual Cemetery Service at Church of Good Shepherd Cemetery, Centerville Road, Reserve Mines on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at 2 PM. In case of inclement weather, the Service will be held in Church of the Good Shepherd, Dominion.

On September 23rd 2018 from 3pm-5pm a community led town hall about the Northside General Hospital Closure will be held. It will be taking place at the Cape Breton County Exhibition Arena at 105 Regent St in North Syndey Nova Scotia. This will give community members the opportunity to voice their concerns, opposition & questions on the announced closure. Velo Cape Breton's "Light up Your Bike Ride", part of the Lumiere Arts Festival, will take place on Friday, September 28, 2018. Meet at the Open Hearth Park parking lot near the canteen at 6:30 pm for a police-escorted 5km bike ride through downtown Sydney. The Glace Bay Food Bank Society will hold their Fall Food Drive on Saturday, September 29th at 10 AM. We are in great need of Volunteers.  Will be canvassing Glace Bay, Reserve, Donkin, Port Morien, Port Caledonia, Birch Grove, Tower Road for Nonperishable Food items.
