If you are grieving as the result of the death of your child BFOCB has a program beginning May 15th 7pm in Sydney. The six-week  program is free of charge and open to people 18 yrs of age and older. Cape Breton Magic Basketball ( Making All Girls Into Champions ) we be hosting our 4th annual Invitational tournament May 17th to MAY 19th at CBU . This year the tournament will see 30 Teams competing from Toronto Ontario , Newfoundland and various parts of The province in 5 different divisions ,Come out and enjoy some local basketball

10th Annual New Harris Run Walk or Crawl Sunday, May 19th, 2019. 10 am Check in 11am Start Location: Summer Snow, Yellow A-Frame , 7 km up the New Harris Road at the base of Kelly's Mountain, Cape Breton This a "Nothing Fancy" event so running or walking is your choice. On Sunday May 19 there will be a Sunday Social at the Steelworkers and Sydney Pensioners Club, 1:30 to 4:30 PM.  First Choice will provide the music. Come out to a pleasant afternoon of entertainment and visits with friends. All welcome.

The Annual Gaelic Ecumenical Service will be held at Knox United Church, Commercial St., Glace Bay, on Sunday, May 19, at 3 p.m. Everyone is welcome, regardless of background or religious tradition. The service, led by Rev. Alison Etter, will be conducted in the Gaelic language. There will be uplifting singing by the Gaelic Ecumenical Choir, led by Catriona Parsons. Refreshments will follow.
