Saturday, September 28th there is a Pancake and Sausage Breakfast at the United Protestant Church at 1524 King's Road, Sydney River.  Serving between 8 AM - 10 AM, Eat In or Take Out.  Cost of Breakfast is $7.  To reserve tickets that may be picked up at the door, please call 902-564-9078.

Glace Bay Food Bank is having their annual food drive on September 28th 2019. We are looking for volunteers to help pick up and sort the groceries. We will need people to drive and walk. The event starts at 9:30 am at the food bank. People are asked to put out their groceries by 10am and Blair's Used Furniture will have trucks at Sobeys and Superstore for people who want to drop off at the trucks instead.

Bake Sale will be held at Mayflower Mall on Saturday. September 28 starting at 12 noon. Sale is sponsored by Louisbourg-Ceilidh Chapter of IODE. Come check out the home cooking.
