Your CPP and OAS Benefits Wednesday January 15th, 2:00 pm McConnell Library, Sydney Join Caron MacKenzie from Service Canada to find out more about your entitlement to CPP and OAS benefits in your senior years. Everyone welcome.

Friday, January 17th at 7 PM - Train Your Brain - A fun evening of games and socialising with snacks. Donations are welcome. (See poster attached)  

DANCE, next Saturday night, Jan. 18th at 8 PM at the Sydney Mines Seniors and Pensioner’s club on Frasier Ave in Sydney Mines. For an evening of dancing and fun, come out and listen to the great sounds of “BACK IN TIME” for all your favorite classic country and old time Rock “n” Roll songs. You might even win an even split, usually over $100.

Paquette Lake Snowshoe/Hike: Jan. 25 Hike Nova Scotia and the Hike the Highlands Festival Society present a guided hike/snowshoe at Paquette Lake in Cape North on January 25 at 10 am. Details at www.hikenovascotia.ca.

Shores of Hogoma Snowshoe/Hike: Jan. 26 Hike Nova Scotia and the Whycocomagh Waterfront Centre Association present a guided hike/snowshoe in Whycocomagh on January 26 at 2 pm. Details at www.hikenovascotia.ca.

Friday, February 14th - Potluck supper followed by a dance. The potluck starts at 5:30 - bring a dish and join in the fun along the beautiful Mira River. Then later, if you want to work off all those extra calories JD the DJ will set up and the dance will begin at 7:00 - cost for the dance is $10.00. Hope to see you there!

Skyline to Blueberry Mountain Snowshoe/Hike: Feb. 1 Hike Nova Scotia and Les Hikers present a guided hike/snowshoe from the Skyline Trail to Blueberry Mountain in Chéticamp on February 1 at 10 am. Registration details at www.hikenovascotia.ca.

A Community Valentine's Market and the Good Bus will be at the Polish Village Hall in Whitney Pier on Saturday, February 1, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. There is no admission charge. Everyone is welcome
