War Memorials of Nova Scotia and the Maritimes

Alan MacLeod, author of Remembered in Bronze and Stone, will present a tour of Canadian war memorials featuring the figure of a soldier of the First World War with a focus on war memorials in Nova Scotia and the Maritimes. This talk will take place on the 100^th anniversary of the Canadian attack on Hill 70 in northern France, 15 August 1917. The audience will be introduced to some of the men and boys of the 185^th Battalion, Cape Breton Highlanders, who died at Hill 70. Everyone welcome!
