Independent Living Nova Scotia along with the Society for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Nova Scotians are hosting two Registered Disability Savings Plan information sessions next week on March 13 at the Hampton Inn Sydney in their Membertou A room (60 Maillard Street, Membertou, NS) and we’re looking for the details for these sessions to be added to the community events calendar and if at all possible if it could be included in community events air time? An information session on Registered Disability Savings Plans
Join us Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at the Hampton Inn Sydney in their Membertou A Room located at 60 Maillard Street, Membertou, NS.
There will be two sessions:
• 3:00 – 4:00 p.m.
• 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.
If you are interested in attending, please register by contacting Kaitlyn at kaitlyn@ilns.ca or 1-877-310-4567. Please specify which session you would like to attend. We will have ASL interpreters present, however if you require other accommodations please let us know when you register.
The following topics will be covered at each session:
• What is a Registered Disability Savings Plan (RDSP)?
• The value of opening an RDSP
• How you can open an RDSP
• How you can receive additional money for your RDSP from the Government of Canada through the Canada Disability Savings Grant and Canada Disability Savings Bond.
These information sessions have been made possible through the Government of Nova Scotia’s Poverty Reduction funding and the Maple Tree Fund.
