Join author Veronica Litt for a reading and discussion on her debut book ‘Ugh! As If!’ ~ a book that celebrates the legacy of the classic 1995 teen film Clueless, starring Alicia Silverstone as Cher Horowitz.
Ugh! As If! was published in June 2025 as part of ECW Press’ Pop Classics Series. From the publisher “We are majorly, totally, butt-crazy in love with Clueless. In Ugh! As If!, Veronica Litt argues that this seemingly fluffy teen romp is the quintessential thinking woman’s movie, one in which audiences are asked to seriously consider the beauty and power of femininity and naïveté.”

Veronica Litt is a writer, reader, teacher, and hobbyist letterpress printer from Hamilton, Ontario. She holds a PhD in English and Book History from the University of Toronto and currently lives in North Sydney, where she teaches post-secondary classes on English literature. Ugh! As If! is her first book.
