The Cape Breton-Victoria Regional School Board has rejected a proposal to keep George D. Lewis School in Louisbourg open as a hub school.  So it will close at the end of July as scheduled.

Hub schools are designed to make rural schools more viable by allowing businesses, groups and individuals to use the space.  But consultants Deloitte Incorporated recommended against that.
