There are warnings about an ATV trail in Georges River after an accident earlier this week that sent a man to hospital.
Gordon MacDonald was one of the riders in the group when his friend was badly injured when he crashed his machine on Old Branch Road Monday evening. The victim is still recovering in hospital.
MacDonald told the Cape Breton Post his buddy hit a deep hole in the road causing him to crash. He says Old Branch Road, which is part of the Trans-Canada trail system, has deteriorated recently with work being done in the area on the Maritime Link project. Instead of just puddles, some of the holes have gotten deeper and more dangerous. That trail is a popular one for ATVers.
