Town of Windsor Issues Mandatory Water Conservation Order
The Town of Windsor has issued a mandatory water conservation order for almost 8,000 homes and businesses. The order was prompted by a severe drop in the water level at Mill Lake, which serves as the town’s water supply. Water levels at Mill Lake have dropped more than 60 centimeters since the Spring. Both Windsor and Three Miles Plains had been under a voluntary conservation order for the past three weeks but was made mandatory on Friday. Residents are no longer permitted to water lawns, wash cars or use water for outside activities. People are also being asked to reduce toilet flushing and shower times.
