Description:

The Vital Awards is an event which brings people together to recognize the success and talents of our region’s exceptional youth between the ages of 16 and 40, as well as employers who create rewarding work environments for young professionals. We feel it is extremely important to recognize and celebrate the youth who are working towards a vibrant future for Cape Breton Island.

The event celebrates winners from three categories:

• Vital Excellence Award: Recognizes individuals who have played a vital role in their community through volunteerism, culture, innovation, etc.
• Vital Employer Award: Recognizes employers who have played a vital role in providing rewarding work opportunities to youth on Cape Breton Island.
• Vital Employee Award: Employers can nominate an employee who plays a vital role in their workplace.

Over the last 5 years, the Vital Awards has attracted attendees such as:

• Leaders in business and innovation
• Business professionals from various industries
• Past Vital Award winners and nominees
• Community-minded individuals and volunteers
