Police Seeking Answers after Child Waiting for School Bus Struck

Police are investigating to see if a dump tuck that struck a five-year-old girl in Nova Scotia this week had failed to stop for the school bus she was waiting for. The RCMP has told the CBC they’re checking the GPS data from the bus to determine if it’s red stop lights were flashing at the time of the incident. Five-year-old Maddie MacDonald was struck in Monastary, Nova Scotia on Tuesday morning while waiting for her bus with her mother and brother. The little girl, who remains in hospital, suffered brain damage and multiple fractures to her face and legs.
