The Cubs stayed alive with a 3-2 win and trimming the Indian’s lead to three games to two in the World Series.  Game six is tomorrow in Cleveland.

The Islanders pounded Acadie-Bathurst 9-2 in the Q-League, as the Wildcats downed the Sea Dogs 4-2.

The Valley Wildcats lost 7-1 to the Weeks Crushers at the Apple Dome.  The Commandos beat St. Stephen Aces 3-1 at the Arthur J. Leblanc Arena.

In the NHL, the Leafs were pummeled by the Islanders 5-1.  The Senators shut down the Oilers 2-0, as the  Flames lost 3-1 to Washington.  The Sabres downed the Jets 3-1.

The Allouettes beat the Stampeders 17-8 in the CFL.  The Patriots handled Buffalo 41-25 in the NFL.
