Canso Canal closed to marine traffic for swing bridge repairs

The Canso Canal will be closed to marine traffic from November 1st until May 14th for continued work on the causeway swing bridge. Improvements beyond the bridge include a new operators’ building, as well as structural, mechanical and electrical repairs. There will be a temporary detour drive in the meantime.
