CBRM warning
CBRM is again warning people about the dangers of scavenging flood-damaged goods left at the curb.
Public Works manager John Phalen told CBC they’ve received reports of people rooting through flood victims’s damaged belongings. He says a lot of those good have been contaminated by oil and sewage and could be dangerous. He’s heard of items put up for sale online.
Phalen also says the theft of items from the curb could affect people’s insurance claims.
