Storm Update (7am)

Rainfall warnings remain in effect for much of the province this morning as heavy rains and winds batter the region. At this hour the power is holding across the province other than a handful of homes in the Glace Bay area along with a number of small outages in Inverness County and a larger outage in Antigonish County affecting roughly 140 homes. The province’s Emergency Management office has issued a warning to residents in the wake of the thanksgiving day flooding in Cape Breton, asking Nova Scotians to avoid flooded streets, roadblocks and to heed the directions of local authorities.
