Changes to Residential Tenancies Act
The province has announced changes to the Residential Tenancies Act. Other hearing formats, like over the phone, can be held rather than just in-person. Landlords will also now be able to provide electronic copies of the act, with a minor change to the authority to waive hearing fees: it’ll be up to the director of residential tenancies, rather than the Service Nova Scotia minister.
