Cape Breton cleanup

As the big cleanup continues, police are advising people not to go poking through discarded materials at the curb.

The debris, soaked furniture; and other items put out for disposal can contain hazardous materials or molds.  They also say if it’s an appliance it could pose a fire hazard if plugged in.

CBRM is asking homeowners to keep these items in a separate pile from regular household garbage, blue bag; and green cart materials.
