Richmond County alcohol case

The CAO of Richmond County is taking medical leave for substance abuse.

Warren Olsen issued a statement that he was going on medical leave in light of the turmoil that has gripped Richmond County for the last two years and the draft report of the ombudsman calling into question expense spending.  The RCMP are now investigating.

The Ombudsman’s report highlighted large credit cards purchases of alcohol by Olsen to keep in his office, which councilors drank after meetings.
