Richmond County audit

The RCMP is investigating municipal spending in Richmond County.

The provincial ombudsdman raised questions about the spending and credit card use by municipal politicians and staff there.

The RCMP wouldn’t say which individuals are the subject of their probe.

Warden Victor David reiterated he can’t speak about the issue at this time, but did say the municipality is expecting its own forensic audit early next week.
