CBRM charges

A pre-teen is facing charges after threats were made on social media against eight schools in CBRM.

Cape Breton Regional Police received multiple reports about threats made on two different social media accounts.  Investigators and the department’s computer forensic unit determined there is no threat to public safety.  They identified a 12-year-old girl, who is now being dealt with under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
