North Sydney park plans

A group has formed to try to get a park built in North Sydney.

The Victory Park Society wants to take four privately-owned pieces of land along the waterfront and create a park and commercial opportunities.

Society Chairman Ryan Duff told the Cape Breton Post the land is bounded by the shore the Irving Station, Commercial Street and the North Sydney Ballast Ground Fishery.  Duff says the space offers too many opportunities not to do it.  It would add to the whole downtown and attract cruise ship passengers as well.
