Colwell touts importance of fair lobster access to export markets

Fisheries and Aquaculture Minister Keith Colwell underlined the importance of fair access to export markets for local lobster to the standing committee on international trade today. Nova Scotia exported more than $1.6 billion in seafood globally last year, including $200 million in live lobster. Live lobster exports to Europe were worth $66 million.
