Information and Privacy Commissioner Catherine Tully has released a guide on using instant messaging and personal email accounts for official business. She says records related to conduct are subject to access laws, even if they’re not done through an official company source. Personal devices allow convenience, but don’t always have information stored securely or easily accessible by the public.
