CBRM audit

The CBRM Audit Committee is showing a million dollar surplus in the budget for the last fiscal year.

That was because of a big jump in tax revenues and controlled spending.

The committee also pointed out the amount of property taxes that are uncollected has climbed to almost 19% of the total tax revenue of $18 million.  The city will be hiring a full-time tax collector before the end of the year.
