Cape Breton Star shut down by Chronicle Herald

The Halifax Herald has shut down The Cape Breton Star effective today. It was launched in May of 2014. Today’s edition of the Star will be the last one published however the Chronicle Herald will continue to publish the Cape Breton issue of the paper. Staff of the Cape Breton Star were laid off this morning with $500 severance.
