Deals announced for China-Nova Scotia education relations

Nova Scotia students will have more opportunity to further their studies in China. Government and Mitacs, a national not-for-profit research and training organization, will fund five $5,000 scholarships each year for the next three. They’ll help senior undergrad and grad students complete research internships at universities in Shandong province.

The province is also launching a new pilot program to help recruit and retain international post-secondary students from key markets.  Study and Stay will recruit 50 international students from China, India and the Philippines who will start their studies here in September 2017.  They’ll get customized supports and mentoring to help launch careers in Nova Scotia.
