Canada Student Loan Grant increases

50% increases have been announced to Canada Student Grants. They’ll go from $2,000 to $3,000 per year for full-time students from low-income families, $800 to $1,200 per year for middle-income families, and $1,200 to $1,800 per year for part-time students from low-income families. 11,000 Nova Scotian students alone will be helped by these changes.

The federal government is letting borrowers wait until they make at least $25,000 a year before they start repaying their loan. That’s as of November 1st.
