Large NATO Exercise in Halifax Starts Monday
Warships from six NATO countries will be in Halifax this week for naval exercises. Ships from Canada, the U.S., United Kingdom, Germany, France and Spain are taking part in the exercise aimed at improving NATO’s anti-submarine warfare capabilities. In all, 11 ships, three submarines and over two dozen aircraft will be participating in the 13 day exercise which gets underway on Monday. 14 Wing Greenwood will also be hosting roughly six aircraft from the US and France taking part in the exercise.
