Cape Breton arson case
The second of the Florence Volunteer fire fighters has been released on bail.
49 year old Stephen Eric Tremblett is charged with 13 counts of arson. He must be in the company of his wife at all times until this matter is dealt with by the courts.
24 year old James Clayton MacDonald was released earlier. He’s looking at 16 counts.
They are charged in connection with a string of fires that occurred between May and August in the Florence, Little Bras d’Or and Millville areas. All but two of the fires involved abandoned structures and no injuries were reported as a result of the blazes.
