No jail time for a Glace Bay woman

A Glace Bay woman isn’t going to jail for a deadly hit and run in 2014.  28 year old Christina Michelle Croney was given 21 months’ house arrest and a year’s probation after pleading guilty to failing to stop, and not offering assistance to an injured person.  Mathew Somerton died in hospital after the incident, where he was run over by Croney’s pickup.  Criminal negligence and dangerous driving causing death charges were dropped.
