New England lobster prices at highest point in over a decade
In what’s sure to be good news for the Maritime lobster industry, market analysts say New England prices are at their highest point since 2005. Trade publication Seafood News says the wholesale price of a one-and-a-quarter-pound hard-shelled lobster reached $8.50 this week. The jump is largely attributed to increased demand from Asian markets.
