Death of a Cape Breton man update
The family of Matthew Hines now has a better idea of how he died at the Dorchester Pen last December, but there are more questions, according to the CBC.
He was taken to hospital in Moncton the prison said after suffering a seizure on the floor of a shower and was pronounced dead. The family was told he died from a drug-induced episode. Now we learn he was pepper-sprayed, but his sister Wendy Gillios says prison officials won’t say who did it, whether it was the guards or why.
