Sydney Terry Fox Fun to happen after volunteers step up

There will be a Terry Fox run in Sydney next month.

Barbara Pate, provincial director of the Terry Fox Run, said earlier this week a lack of volunteers was causing problems and this year’s run might have to be cancelled here. Now Pate says several people have come forward to manage the run headed by Cyril MacDonald. He volunteers for a number of groups including Special Olympics when not working as a recuiter at Cape Breton University.

Pate says MacDonald is very capable to lead the organizing committee and has loads of people now to help him. They got calls from 10 people offering to help.
