Breakfast with Santa
Come Join us for Breakfast with Santa at the Southend Community Center, 1464 george St, on Saturday, December 13th at 930 or 1130. The Port Morien Country Market will be held on Saturday, December 13th from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Port Morien Legion, RCL Br. 055. There will be a flea market downstairs and vendors and bake table upstairs. The canteen will be open for beverages, baked sweets and french fries.

Cape Breton musicians are uniting for a special Christmas performance of Handel’s Messiah. The Choir and Soloist are led by Musical Director Rosemary McGhee and the chamber orchestra conductor, Sarah MacDonald. Messiah will be performed at 2:00 PM Sunday, December 14th. at Marguerite Bourgeoys Church in Sydney. Admission is free. All are welcome to experience this unforgettable masterpiece and the true meaning of Christmas.

The annual Christmas in the Cabin event will take place on Sunday, December 14th from 1 - 3pm. Hike up Coxheath Hills Wilderness Trail to enjoy some Christmas stories, songs & readings. The fire will be on and so will the hot apple cider. Use the Secondary Entrance at 1298 Coxheath Road.

"Oliver's Polish Christmas: A Cape Breton Story" is a heartwarming new children's book by Tom Urbaniak, illustrated by Tammy Kransiqi. There will be readings/book signings and open house/refreshments at the Glace Bay Heritage Museum on Tuesday, December 16. Drop by at or after 2 p.m., with reading at 2:30 p.m. And the Baddeck Library on Thursday December 18 at 6:30 p.m. All royalties are supporting Cape Breton's St. Michael's Polish Benefit Society.
