DESCRIPTION:The public is invited to an Open House hosted by Canadian Army Reserve units in Cape Breton between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday\, September 30\, at the following locations: • Victoria Park Armouries\, 1 Desbarres Street\, Sydney\, NS\, B1P 6Z2; • Dr Guglielmo Marconi Armoury\, 78 Sterling Road\, Glace Bay B1A 5J5; and • Port Hawkesbury Armoury\, 24 Queen Street\, Port Hawkesbury NS\, B9A 3T8. There will be interactive displays and activities to showcase the important work Reservists do for Canadians. Unit representatives will also be available to discuss available opportunities for part-time employment. Reservists receive a competitive salary\, a benefits package including medical and dental coverage\, education subsidies and excellent leadership and trades training. The public is advised that there may be an increased military precence in the vicinity of these events\, as well as increased noise levels due to simulated drills. \n
