Nova Scotia Olympians!

The 2021 Tokyo Olympics kick off tomorrow. This will be the second time Japan has hosted the Summer Olympics, with the first being in 1964.  The games this year will see 4 new sports introduced: Karate, Skateboarding, sport climbing and Surfing! Now let’s meet our Nova Scotian Athletes:

Brittany Fraser -Beaulieu (Equestrian) – New Glascow. This will be her first Olympic games

Connor Fitzpatrick (Canoe/Kayak/Sprint) – Dartmouth – First Olympic game

Ellie Black – (Gymnastics) – Halifax – Third Olympic Games

Jacob Saunders – (Sailing) – Halifax – Second Olympic Games

Mark De Jonge – (Canoe/Kayak/Sprint) – Halifax – Third Olympic Game – Bronze medal in London Games 2012

Michelle Russell – (Canoe/Kayak/Sprint) – Fall River – First Olympic Games

Sarah Mitton – (Athletics) – Liverpool – First Olympic Games

Sydney Pickrem – (Swimming) – Halifax – Second Olympic Games 

Wyatt Sanford – (Boxing) – Kennetcook – First Olympic Games
