How long does it take to get engaged?
If you were considering popping the question on Valentine’s Day, but…didn’t, don’t worry about it…October is coming. A new survey finds it takes 36 hints over the course of almost 8 months for the average person to get their significant other to propose. In the OnePoll survey of 2,000 engaged people, 54% said they dropped hints to their partner encouraging them to propose. The most common hint involved “accidentally” sending texts or emails with ads for rings (59% did that), followed by putting on shows or movies about weddings (45%), and enlisting friends to start conversations about engagements (38%).
