Do you take your vitamins?
From a young age, I’ve been taking vitamins. I still rather the Flinstone Vitamins but do they work?
New research has said that it’s possible that the benefits of taking vitamin supplements could be entirely due to the placebo effect. Researchers from Harvard have noted that no clinical trial has shown that benefits for daily users, who are healthy without a preexisting deficiency. The study of almost 5,000 regular consumers of multivitamins found that although 30 percent of them believed they have better overall healthy than that of non-users, studies of medical data showed their health was “no different” from that of non-users. The study concluded that those who take vitamins tend to be positive-thinking people, but supplements are a waste of money for individuals with no known nutrient deficiencies. I say if they make you feel better, what’s the harm?
